Youth of the Year is BGCCM’s premier leadership and recognition program, celebrating teens who embody the values of leadership, service, academic excellence, and healthy lifestyles. Each year, outstanding teen members from each of our four Club sites are selected to represent their Club in our organization-wide Youth of the Year competition.
These Club-level winners compete for the title of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi Youth of the Year, earning the opportunity to serve as a voice for BGCCM youth and represent our organization in the statewide competition. The experience builds confidence, public speaking skills, and personal storytelling, preparing teens to become advocates for themselves and their communities.
Nationally, the Youth of the Year program has a rich history of recognizing remarkable young people who go on to succeed in a wide range of fields, including business, education, entertainment, and public service. At BGCCM, we are proud to guide our teens through this life-changing journey that celebrates resilience, leadership, and the power of Club experiences.
